EDIT: Also, is there a certificate given upon finishing the course?
Hello!
This is typically a 3 credit-hour class during a regular semester at UIUC, so I would say that putting in a few hours (up to 5 - 6) a week should be enough as a baseline, but it may vary as the content gets harder and as other variables might factor in.
I don’t think there is a formal certificate given stating that you completed this course, however, you do get to learn a lot of fundamentals of Computer Science, which is great!
